Memorial Day Birds

Here’s a few more sightings from Mono from this weekend past. On
Sunday the 27th, I had a singing JUNIPER TITMOUSE on the east slope of
Glass Mountain. In the afternoon, I had an adult male INDIGO BUNTING
just off Benton Crossing Road at Wildrose Canyon. Up slightly further
in the canyon were one or two PLUMBEOUS VIREOs and at the spring was a
male RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER. And on the 28th, the singing male
BLACK-CHINNED SPARROW was conspicuous above the elementary school
soccer field in Lee Vining.
